Felix Carl Addy

Felix Carl Addy, 96, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Saluda Nursing Center surrounded by his family.

Born in Saluda County and a son of the late James "Jim" W.L. Addy and Daisy Banks Addy. He was the husband of the late Joyce Ozean Leopard Addy. Mr. Addy was the owner and operator of Addy & Price Builders, where he built many homes throughout Saluda County and the surrounding areas. He also retired from Greenwood Mills. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

After retirement, Mr. Addy devoted much of his life to farming. In his earlier years, he and his wife, Joyce, enjoyed riding horses and attending trail rides together. He also loved quail hunting, but what he loved most was spending time with his family.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda Nix (Billy) and Debra Perry (Tony), two sons, Ricky Addy and Chris Addy all of Saluda, a son-in-law, Tony Bowers of Greenwood, eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Mr. Addy was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Bowers, a daughter-in-law, Windy Addy, three brothers and four sisters.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Bill Sawyer; Leanna Owings, FNP-C; and the administrators, nurses, CNAs, and staff of Saluda Nursing Center for the compassionate care they provided to Mr. Addy.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Going officiating. Interment will follow in Mayson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
