Ridge Spring, SC
Frances Earline Cockrell Storey, 94, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Saluda Nursing Center.
Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Jake Cockrell and Stella Miller Cockrell, she was the wife of Raymond Carl Storey. Mrs. Storey was a homemaker and was a member of Ridge Spring Baptist Church. She had a passion for cooking, that was evident in every meal she prepared, turning ordinary days into special occasions.
Surviving in addition to her husband are, a son, Michael D. Storey of Ridge Spring, SC, a brother, Alton Cockrell (Maureen) of Batesburg, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great grandsons.
Mrs. Storey was preceded in death by a son, Raymond E. Storey, a daughter, Carolyn Storey, four brothers, John Earl Cockrell, Marvin Cockrell, Virgil Cockrell and Hoyt Cockrell, four sisters, Louise Way, Mildred Wilson Griffith, Ruby Caughman and Rae Cockrell.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, March 17, 2025 at Ridge Spring Cemetery with Rev. Michael Bell officiating.
