Frances Taylor
Frances Pratt Taylor, 95, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, at her home.
Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late William Cecil Pratt and Daisy Ethel Lake Pratt, she was the wife of the late Daniel Lewis Taylor. Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Red Bank Baptist Church.
She was a woman who found joy in life's simple pleasures and took great pride in caring for both her home and those around her. She had a deep love for gardening and could often be found tending to her flowers, creating beautiful spaces that reflected her gentle and nurturing spirit.
Mrs. Taylor also enjoyed baking and was well known for sharing her homemade treats with her family, friends, and members of the community. Whether it was for a gathering, a neighbor in need, or simply to brighten someone's day, she found happiness in bringing people together through the warmth of her kitchen.
In addition to her love for gardening and baking, Mrs. Taylor had a talent for sewing. She spent many hours creating and mending with care, using her skills to provide for her family and to help others when she could.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan T. Gillian (Tommie) and Martha T. Edwards (Steve) both of Saluda, a son, Nelson L. Taylor (Sandy) of Batesburg, a sister, Annie Ruth Price of Saluda, seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
