Franklin Bradley

Franklin Waters Bradley, 89, passed away December 31, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Saluda, SC, and a son of the late Henry Harold Bradley and Sydell Werts Bradley, he was the husband of the late Etta Hyler Bradley. Mr. Bradley was a farmer and a retired supervisor with the South Carolina Highway Department in Saluda and Newberry County. He was a faithful member of Dean's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Elaine Long, a grandson, Brett Long (Dana), a great-grandson, Oneal Bradley Long, a brother, Henry Leon Bradley (Linda), and a special friend, Pat Litkett, all of Saluda.

Mr. Bradley is preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Bradley Doyal, a brother, Harold Wayne Bradley, a son-in-law, Ebbie Long, and a grandson, Jason Bradley Long.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to Dr. Clevenger and Niki of MUSC Cardiology and to Hospice of Laurens County for their compassionate care.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Dean's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Tim Thompson and Rev. Hilary Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church social hall. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dean's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Cemetery Fund, 6416 Hollywood Road Saluda, SC 29138.
