Funeral services for Frazier Ruff Harmon will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church, Saluda, SC. The Reverend Ken Freeman will preside. Interment will be in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m. Friday evening at Ramey Funeral Home in Saluda.

Mr. Harmon passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at The Saluda Nursing Center. He was born in Saluda County to the late Daniel Byrd and Lorene Ruff Harmon. He enjoyed a long and successful career with the South Carolina Department of Transportation - Lexington Engineering Division. He was awarded SCDOT employee of the year in 2003. He was an avid gamecock fan and enjoyed tailgating with friends for many years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 43 years, Virginia Burnett Harmon, 2 sisters, Vera Buffington of Saluda, SC and Edna Outz of Edgefield, SC, 2 brothers, Horace Harmon of Saluda, SC and Larry Harmon of Columbia, SC, one sister in law, Mildred Harmon of Greenwood, SC and one brother in law, Luther Bledsoe of Saluda, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his special dog Dottie.

He was predeceased by his parents, sister, Gladys Bledsoe and brother, James Harmon.

The family extends a special thanks to Mr. Robert Bowles, Dr. Ralph Riley and the staff of the Riley unit of Saluda Nursing Center. A special thank you to Dr. Larry Nelson and Dr. William Brearly for their care over the years.
