Frederick Elton "Freddie" Silk, Jr., 60, of Ward Rd, died Sunday, August 10, 2014.

Born in Richland County and a native of Saluda, he was a son of the late Frederick Elton Silk, Sr. and Novis Feaster Silk. Mr. Silk was a graduate of Saluda High School and earned an Associate Business Degree from Piedmont Technical College. He was a Claims Processor with Blue Cross / Blue Shield in Florence and was a member of Richland Springs Baptist Church.

Mr. Silk is survived by two brothers, Gerald "Jerry" (Faye) Silk of Saluda and Charles Douglas Silk of Rock Hill, a sister, Rosa (Mike) Berry of Saluda, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Steve Jones and Rev. Charles Andrew Bodie officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9PM Monday evening at Ramey Funeral Home
