Gladys Williams Kirby, 94, died Sunday, February 17, 2019 at NHC of Laurens.

Born in Granite Falls, NC, she was the daughter of the late Otis Baxter Williams and Carrie Wyke Williams. Mrs. Kirby was retired from Monsanto and was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She was well known for her cakes, fried apple pies and chicken salad.

Surviving are two sons, Bill Kirby of Florence and Randy Kirby of Greer, a daughter, Jackie Lynn Martin of Milford, Iowa, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2019 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Adams and Rev. Tina Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
