Gloria Rush

Gloria Carol Perryman Rush, 75, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born in Gainesville, FL and a daughter of the late, William Alexander Perryman and Mary Dolores Crawley Perryman Woods, she was the wife of James Carl "Rusty" Rush, Sr. Mrs. Rush was a retired Administrative Assistant with Lexington County and was a member of Saluda Baptist Church.

Gloria loved camping and was a diehard Clemson Tiger fan.

Surviving alongside her husband, are a son, James Carl Rush, Jr. (Mary) of Saluda, two daughters, Katy Rush Berry (Tony) of Saluda and Abigail Rush Fuller (Matthew) of Newberry and eight grandchildren: Cordell, Virgil and Cassidy Rush; Casey (Jolie), Noah, Levi, and Kayton Berry; and Morgan Fuller. And her loving dog, Homer.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rush was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Diane Perryman Santiago.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Travis Park Cemetery with Rev. Jeff McCartney officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Travis Park.

Pallbearers will be the children and grandchildren.
