Grace Minick

Grace Perry Prater Minick, 96, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022.

Born in Saluda and the daughter of the late Sam Pitts Perry and Elizabeth Wilson Perry. She was a secretary for a number of places, having moved around while being a preacher's wife, which she loved. She was most recently a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir.

Surviving are one son, Rusty Prater (Deborah) of Edgefield, one daughter, Kim Hunt (Jeremy) of Lexington, nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two special caregivers, Dawn Orr and Lenora Springs.

Mrs. Minick is preceded in death by her three husbands, Rev. James Milton Prater, Meadors Minick and Louis Givens, one daughter, Sherry Prater Murphy, one son-in-law, Rev. Wes Murphy, three brothers and one sister.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2022 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Cameran Levi officiating. Interment will follow at West Travis Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
