Harold Rufus Arrington, 73, died Friday, December 18, 2015 at Aiken Regional Medical Center.

Born in Waynesville, NC and a son of the late Frank Rufus and Ruby Love Mehaffey Arrington, he was the husband of Ruth Willie Hoyle Arrington. Mr. Arrington was a US Army veteran having served 3 years during the Vietnam era and was a retired Registered Forester with International Paper Company and Resource Management Services, Inc.. He was a member of Balsam Baptist Church in Balsam, NC and was a member of the American Legion Post # 65.

Mr. Arrington loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and teaching this craft to others.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth Willie Hoyle Arrington, a son, Michael H. Arrington (Neva) of Cassatt, a daughter, Lynn Arrington Kramer (Arik) of Mt. Pleasant and four grandchildren, Nicholas Arrington, Olivia Arrington, Dellaney Kramer and Lindsay Kramer.

Mr. Arrington was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Holder.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m., Sunday afternoon at Ramey Funeral Home.

A Memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, December 21, 2015 at Ramey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Campbell officiating.
