Harry Singley

Harry Charles "Chuck" Singley, 78, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Hospice House of Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.

Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Ferris Heber "Rink" and Marie Virginia Geiger Singley, and husband of Janice Norma Jones Singley. He was a retired ship fitter for the Charleston Naval Shipyard and served in the US Marine Corp.

Surviving are his wife, Janice Norma Jones Singley of Saluda, two daughters, Marie Hawkins (Wendell) of Saluda and Teresa Singley (Thomas Rosser) of N. Charleston, one son, Jackie Clifton of Jacksonville, FL, two sisters, Jane "Muff" Vaughn of Red Bank and Karen Singley of Lexington, 11 grandchildren, Victoria (Joseph), Daniel, Andrew, Amanda, LaurieAnna, Nathan, Marley, Rachel, Cassidy, MJ and Isabella, four great-grandchildren, Olivia, Wyatt, Pistol and Heiress, two uncles, Jimmy Singley of Cayce and James Cade of Hanahan, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Singley is preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and one grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Beauford officiating. Interment will follow at Mayson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
