Helen Burdette Leopard, 78, died Sunday, June 26, 2016.
Born in Laurens County and a daughter of the late John Dewitt and Mattie Genell Gambrell Burdette, she was the wife of the late William Harvey Leopard. Mrs. Leopard was Valedictorian of Hickory Tavern High School class of 1956 and was a homemaker.
Surviving are three brothers, Melvin (Betty) Burdette and Julian (Linda) Burdette both of Waterloo and Donald (Diana) Burdette of Greenwood, a sister, Deloris (Garlyn) Shealy of Leesville, two stepdaughters, Harveen (J.M.) Stokes of Saluda County and Aline (Michael) Livingston of Pomaria, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Leopard was preceded in death by a brother, William A. "Billy" Burdette.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Ramey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Jones and Rev. Ray Massey officiating. Interment will follow in Faith Temple Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
