J T Hallman, 85, died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Saluda Nursing Center.
Born in Lexington County and a son of the late Marell and Mary Lee Koon Hallman, he was the husband of Hannah Coleman Hallman. Mr. Hallman was a graduate of Gilbert High School class of 1945 and was a US Air Force veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass and was a member of Butler United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post #65.
Surviving are his wife, Hannah Coleman Hallman, two sons, John Hallman (Lynn) and Jeff Hallman (Lisa) both of Saluda, a daughter, Jane H. Knight (Jason) of Saluda, ten grandchildren, J.C.. Ben, Travis, Cole, Emily and Noah Hallman, Jackson, Joseph and Jana Pou and Jace Knight, two sisters, Betty Sigg of Augusta, Ga. and Kella Lynch of Chapin and one brother, George Hallman of Columbia.
J.T. was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Hallman.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Butler United Methodist Church with Rev. Lee Cothran officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
