James Wilson Hartley, 66, died Monday, January 28, 2019 at Lexington Medical Center.

Born in Richland County and a son of the late James William Hartley and Cornelia Pauline Johnson Hartley, he was the husband of Patricia "Pat" Rushton Hartley. Mr. Hartley was a former employee of Southern Electric and was a member of Double Branches Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia "Pat" Rushton Hartley, four sons, Ronald McCurry, Jamie McCurry and Shannon Hartley all of Saluda and Daniel Hartley of Batesburg, three daughters, Crystal Whitaker of Saluda, Lynn Long of N. Augusta and Lisa Usry of Saluda, three sisters, Stella Miller and Pam Barrs both of Batesburg and Carolyn Baker of Aiken, seventeen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, February 1, 2019 at Red Bank Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Brian Lee and Rev. Burton Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Ramey Funeral Home. Immediately following the graveside service a memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Church.
