James Bunyan "JB" Miller, 83, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at his home.
Born in Saluda, he was the son of the late William Thurmond and Sadie Lee Stidham Miller, and was the husband of the late Carolyn Clanis Hudson Miller. He was a retired State Employee as a mechanic with the Aiken County School Bus Shop. He served in the US Air Force and later became a member of numerous organizations and clubs including Travis Masonic Lodge 241, American Legion, Richland Creek Ruritan Club, and Richland Creek Antique Power Association. Mr. Miller was a member of Richland Springs Baptist Church where he was a member in the Ready Sunday School Class.
Surviving are two sons, James Thurmond Miller (Cathie) of Ward and William Paul "Bill" Miller (Stephanie) of Irmo, one sister, Trudith M. Wolfe, six grandchildren, Monica Johnson (Brian), James "Buddy" Miller (Amber), Caleb Miller (Kate), Joseph Miller, Kristina McCubbins (Devin) and Connor Allen Miller, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 3 PM, Friday, June 25, 2021 at Richland Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Saluda Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following interment at the church.
