Jimmy Forrest, 69, passed away May 27, 2015 at Saluda Nursing Center. He was born April 18, 1946, the son of James Oscar Forrest and Saluda Duffie Forrest. Over the years, Jimmy worked in several of Saluda's textile industries, including Saluda Hosiery, Carolyn Chenille, Saluda Shirt Co. and Knight Industries. He retired in 2002 due to health problems. Jimmy was a devoted member of Saluda Presbyterian Church where he attended faithfully until he was no longer physically able. His favorite pastimes were fishing and listening to country and western and gospel music.

He is survived by numerous cousins.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Ralph Riley and all the nurses and staff of Saluda Nursing Center and Home Health Services for their kindness and care in tending to Jimmy over the years.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Saluda Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jana L. Creighton officiating. Interment will follow in Travis Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes before the service in the church.
