James Winn

James Wyman Winn, 74, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022 at his home.

Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Wyman Lee Winn and Mae Bright Berry Winn. Mr. Winn was a veteran of the US Army, where he was stationed in Korea and Ft. Lewis in Washington and attended Quarter Masters School in Ft. Lee, Virginia during his Army service. He was retired after 30 plus years with Monsanto of Greenwood and was a member of West Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are a sister, Dianne Burgess (Dale) of Batesburg, two nieces, Karen Aull (Greg) and Jennifer Jones (John) both of Batesburg, three great-nephews, Alex Aull of Pawley's Island, Zachary Aull of Washington, DC and Colby Jones of Batesburg, and a great-niece, Samantha Jones of Batesburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2022 at West Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Woodward officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. All who attend are asked to follow COVID protocols and masks are required.
