Janie Guyton Forrest's Obituary
Janie Evetta Guyton Forrest, 71, died Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood.
Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Brooks Guyton, Sr. and Elizabeth Rowe Guyton, she was the wife of David Lee Forrest, Sr. Mrs. Forrest was a homemaker. She was a member of Gassaway United Methodist Church and attended Saluda Church of God.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, David Lee Forrest, Sr., a daughter, Linda Kay Forrest Rodgers (Jerrie Frix) of Saluda, a son, David Lee Forrest, Jr. of Newberry, a special godson, Damien Harwell of Hendersonville, NC, three sisters, Edith Rowe, Ruth Chapman and Narvis Ables all of Saluda, a brother, Brooks Guyton, Jr. of Saluda, two granddaughters, Chandler Hanna and Camryn Forrest both of Swansea and a great-grandson, Ellis Hanna.
Mrs. Forrest was preceded in death by two brothers, J.W. Guyton and Claude Earl Guyton.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
