Obituary

J.B. Parrish, Jr., 89 died Friday, March 4, 2016 at Saluda Nursing Center.

Born January 26, 1927 in Ward, SC and a son of the late John Bunyan and Blanche E. Parrish, he was the husband of the late Flema Hazel Parrish. Mr. Parrish was a graduate of Saluda High School and served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II. He worked as an accountant at V.E. Edwards and Brothers Hardware Store (currently Saluda Hardware and Supply) and he was a farmer and loved cattle farming and farm equipment. Mr. Parrish was a member of Richland Springs Baptist Church and was a member of the Kadosh Masonic Lodge # 181 in Johnston, SC.

Mr. Parrish is survived by a brother, Jack M. Parrish (Melinda) of Chapin.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at the Saluda Nursing Center for their loving care extended to him during these past years.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, March 7, 2016 at Ramey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
