Jerry Talton Rinehart, 81, of 1216 Hollywood Rd., husband for 61 years of Emma Griffith Rinehart died Saturday, February 18, 2017 at his home. Born and raised in the Hollywood community and a son of the late Joe Daniel and Eugenia Mims Rinehart. Talton graduated from Hollywood High School in 1953 and retired from DOT after 40 years. He was an active member of Salem Baptist Church where he was a former deacon, Sunday school teacher and choir member. He loved his family and his hobbies: hunting, fishing, farming and gardening.

He is survived by three siblings, Ellie Mims Long (late Herbert Long, Sr.), Josie R. Black (late Joe Henry Black) and Tranny Jean Robinson (Gene Robinson), three children, Joe Griffith Rinehart (Lawrie) of Greenwood, Gene Daniel Rinehart (Jim Froeschle) of Atlanta, GA and Suzanne R. Parham (Scott) of Greenwood, five grandchildren, Jason Rinehart (Lille') of Saluda, Cassie Rowland (James) of Greenwood, Leslie Rinehart of Greenville, Ryan Parham of Greenwood and Ben Parham of Greenwood and three great-grandchildren, Tristan and Taylor Rinehart of Saluda and Wynn Rowland of Greenwood.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Jerrod Marshall officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
