Jesse L. Temple, 92, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Hospice House in Greenwood, SC.
Born in Edgefield County and a son of the late Jesse Lawrence Temple and Myrtie Willings Powell and stepson of the late Wilbur Powell, he was the husband of Mary Alice Deloach Temple. Mr. Temple was a US Army veteran during World War II. He was a former employee with Graniteville Mills and a retired farmer. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Alice Deloach Temple, sons, Jesse William Temple and Rev. Jerry Temple (Marian), daughters, Gail Worrell (John) and Jan Stone (the late Dwight), four grandchildren, Jason Rinehart, Jessica White, Tim Worrell and Geoffrey Temple and three great-grandchildren, Tristan, Taylor and Falyn.
A graveside service will be held 3:30 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2015 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Patricia Amick and Rev. Jerry Temple officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
