Jessie Long

Jessie Bartley Long, 90, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born March 4, 1932, in Saluda County and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Beulah Bartley. She was the wife of the late Frank Long. She was a homemaker and member of Ward Baptist Church.

Surviving are one son, Joel Long (Pam) of Ward, two daughters, Faye Silk (Jerry) of Batesburg and Lisa Haag (Mike) of Ward. Eleven grandchildren, Jessica Long, Amanda Jacobs, Mitch Long, Cliff Long, Chase Harley, Amy Rushton, Lori Haag, Brandon Long, Michael Haag and Britt Long. 19 great grandchildren. She loved and adored each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Long was predeceased in death by her husband, Frank Long, a son, Mike Long, and a grandson, Chris Long. She was the last surviving member of her family of 6 brothers and 5 sisters.

Services will be held, Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 2:00pm, at Ward Baptist Church with Preacher John Ballard and Reverend Steve Jones officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service, in the church social hall. Graveside service to follow, at Saluda Memorial Gardens, 587 Richland Creek Road, Ward, SC 29166.
