Jimmie Lee Koon Jr.'s Obituary
Jimmie Lee Koon, Jr., 68, died Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Richland County and a son of the late Jimmie Lee Koon, Sr. and Eva Belle Brazell Koon, he was the husband of Wilenna Rowe Koon. Jimmie Lee served in the South Carolina National Guard 122nd Engineer Company and was a self employed farmer, trader and fence builder. He was a member of Butler United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Wilenna Louise Rowe Koon, a son, Jeremy Koon (Tonya) of Saluda, a daughter, Tippany Hall of Saluda, a brother, Tony Royal Koon of Newberry, four grandchildren, Maghan Koon, Zackhary Koon, Daemian Hall and Daeyton Hall and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Koon was preceded in death by a brother, John Eugene Koon.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Monday evening at Ramey Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Butler United Methodist Church with Rev. Lee Cothran and Rev. Burton Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Butler United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Sandra M. Collard, 791 Long Rd., Saluda, SC 29138.
