Jimmy Holcombe
Jimmy Russell Holcombe, 70, passed away, Monday, June 1, 2026 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood.
Born in Rutherfordton, NC and a son of the late Glenn Franklin Holcombe and Edith Dedmond Holcombe, he was the husband of Janice Gail Clark Holcombe. Mr. Jimmy spent many years working in the textile mills and later became well known throughout the community for his work in the automotive parts and service industry. He retired from Holcombe Marine, where he had the pleasure of working alongside his son. A member of Good Hope Baptist Church, Mr. Jimmy was also a dedicated Mason with the Cross Hill No. 159 Masonic Lodge.
In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring old cars and boats, a hobby that reflected his craftsmanship and attention to detail. Music was another great passion in his life, and he spent many years entertaining others as a member of the Legend Band. Mr. Jimmy will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love for family and friends, and the joy he found in music and restoring treasured pieces of the past.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Jamey Holcombe of Gaffney and Brian Holcombe (Jenna) of Ninety-six, a daughter, Tiffany Price (Colton) of Batesburg, a special daughter-in-law, Heather Holcombe, a sister, Betty Huskey (Tim) of Gaffney and eight grandsons, Ethan Holcombe, Hunter Holcombe, Brexton Price, Callyn Price, Kody Holcombe, Landon Holcombe, Nick Martin and Alex Martin.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Ramey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee Going officiating. Interment will follow in Chestnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
