Joe Dale Vereen

Joe Dale Vereen, 56, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025.

Born in Greenwood County and a son of Samuel Vereen and Mary Marlene Cockrell Vereen, he was the husband of Jamie Sunshine Baker Vereen. Joe was the proud owner and operator of Just Joe Renovations, where he was well known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft.

Outside of work, Joe found great joy in riding his motorcycle, embracing the freedom of the open road. He also loved cooking and took pride in preparing meals for his family and friends, often bringing people together through food and fellowship. Joe was raised in the Baptist faith, which guided his life and values.

Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are a son, Connon Vereen of N. Augusta, two stepchildren, Buck Baker Smith of Martinez, GA and Sydney Smith of Utah and a brother, Benjamin Vereen of Greenwood.

Joe was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Vereen.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held.
