John "Bill" Black, Jr.'s Obituary
John Tillman "Bill" Black, Jr., 82, died Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Saluda Nursing Center.
Born in Saluda County and a son of the late John Tillman, Sr. and Mannie Black, he was the husband of the late Laura Katherine Black. Mr. Black retired from Greenwood Mills and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was a member of Nazareth United Methodist Church
Surviving are two sons, Mike (Sandra) Black of Saluda and Dwayne (Katie) Black of Edisto, two brothers, Perry (Claris) Black of Saluda and Raymond (Annie Ruth) Black of Ninety Six, a sister, Carrie Mae Oswald of Saluda and three grandchildren, Anthony Black, Adam Black and Parker Black.
Mr. Black was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Black.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm, Tuesday evening at Ramey Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 11am, Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Nazareth United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Cheezem, Sr. and Rev. Jerry Brunson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Saluda Nursing Center, P.O. Box 398, Saluda, SC 29138 or to Nazareth United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 2943 Columbia Hwy., Leesville, SC 29070.
