June Jones Knowlton Parrish

June Jones Knowlton Parrish, 81, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 surrounded by her family and close friends.

Born in Greenwood County and a daughter of the late Tommy Otimus Jones and Ella Mae Gault Jones, she was the wife of Bobby Parrish. Mrs. Parrish was retired from Piedmont Internal Medicine and a member of Shiloh Methodist Church.

She found great joy in horseback riding, often spending hours riding through trails and fields. Her love for nature extended to camping, where she treasured nights under the stars. When Mrs. Parrish wasn't outdoors, she was known for her love of games, especially playing cards with friends and family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are, three children, Lisa Thomas (Stan) of Ladson, Michael Wayne Byerly of Hodges and Christopher Shane Byerly (Deb) of Waynesboro, GA, two stepchildren, Brandy Parrish Smith (Jay Jay) of Leesville and William "Pat" Parrish of Anderson, five grandchildren, Nicole Murray (Greg), Hannah McCullough, Shana Toth (Joe), Madey Smith and Tripp Smith, and a great-granddaughter, Amber Williams.

Mrs. Parrish was preceded by a sister, Dottie Yarborough and a brother, Billy Jones.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lauren and Clarissa for their love and support.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Shiloh Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Huggins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church social hall.
