Kathleen "Kay" Mitchell Wingert's Obituary
Kathleen Florence "Kay" Mitchell Wingert, 79, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Saluda Nursing Center.
Born in Richland County, she was a daughter of the late J.W. "Bill" Mitchell, Sr. and Kathryn Ruby Allen Mitchell. Mrs. Wingert was a retired medical transcriptionist at Providence Hospital.
Surviving are a son, James William Glover of Columbia, two daughters, Marla Glover Quick of Lexington and Cherie Glover Ergle of Irmo, a brother, John William Mitchell, Jr. of Cross Anchor, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wingert was preceded in death by a daughter, Norene Denise "Rene" Overpeck.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 22, 2021 at Mayson Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy Beauford officiating.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer Association, 140 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC 29210.
