Kimberly Gayle

Kimberly Michelle Gayle, 41, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Fort Gordon, GA, she was the daughter of James DeJarnette Gayle, III and Laura Vezina Gayle. She worked for many years in childcare throughout Georgia and South Carolina, where she touched countless young lives with her kindness, patience, and nurturing spirit. Her love for children was evident to all who knew her, and she found great joy in caring for and guiding them.

A faithful member of Saluda Baptist Church, Kimberly held strong to her faith and found comfort and strength in her church family. She was a graduate of East Paulding High School in Dallas, Georgia, and carried with her many cherished memories from her school years.

Kimberly had a vibrant personality and enjoyed life's simple pleasures. She loved attending concerts, searching for unique treasures while thrifting, and expressing her creativity through artwork and crafts. Her talents and passions brought joy not only to her life but to those around her.

In 2012, she was diagnosed with cancer and given a difficult prognosis. However, with unwavering determination and strength, she defied the odds. Kimberly refused to let her illness define her, facing each day with courage, grace, and an unbreakable spirit. Her perseverance was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Above all, Kimberly will be remembered for her loving heart, her strength, and the lasting impact she made on her family, friends, and the many children she cared for throughout her life

Surviving alongside her parents are a brother, Jamie Gayle (Brantley) of Saluda, a niece, Hayden Maddox, two nephews, JD and Hank Gayle, and her faithful furry companion, GiGi, who she loved so much.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Saluda Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Metts and Rev. Jeff McCarty officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
