Kinard Michael "Mike" Stevens, Jr., 77 died Friday, January 5, 2018.

Born in Greenwood County and a son of the late Kinard Michael Stevens, Sr. and Mildred Matheny Stevens, he was the husband of Harriet "Patti" Gatti Stevens. He was first married to Wanda Raiford Parkin of N. Augusta. Mr. Stevens was a graduate of Saluda High School and Newberry College. He served in the South Carolina National Guard, 122nd Engineer Company in Saluda. He was a retired project manager, maintenance and environmental specialist with Smile Gas and was a partner with Stevens Farm. He was member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Ninety Six and was a member of the Saluda County Forestry Association and the Saluda County Cattlemen's Association where he was recognized as Cattleman of the Year in 1995. He was also a member of the Hearts Card Club and enjoyed playing cards and fellowship every Tuesday night.

Surviving are his wife, Patti Stevens, four daughters, Michele Wilson (Dewey) of Clarks Hill, Ashlie Crittendon (Kevin) of Ninety Six, Lecie Harrison (Joe) of Decatur, GA and Gloria Kenny (Ralph) of N. Augusta, GA, a son, Kevin Stevens (Caren) of Victor, MT, a brother, Samuel Stevens (Johnnie) of Saluda, a sister, Julia Wills of Saluda, fourteen grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a faithful little companion, Pipper.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2018 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Saluda with Rev. Susan Maddox, Rev. Ben Herlong and Rev. Phillip Chandler officiating. Interment will follow in King Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the family life center. Pallbearers will be Jerry Crittendon, Ben Crittendon, Samuel Crittendon, David Crittendon, Dewey Wilson and Dean Butler.
