Lalla Mae Lowery
Lalla Mae Cromley Lowery, 83, died Saturday, November 23, 2019 at her residence.
Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Evin Hewitt Cromley and Helen Keller Grant Cromley, she was the wife of the late James Author "Buck" Lowery. Mrs. Lowery was retired manager over the cafeteria at Saluda Elementary School. She was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church and was a volunteer at Old Town Fire Department.
Surviving are a daughter, Vicki Lowery Crapps (Jimmie) of Saluda, a brother , David Cromley (Dianne) of Saluda and two sisters , Dory C. Whittle and Rose C. Farmer (Jerry) both of Saluda.
The family would like to extend thanks to special caregivers, Teresa Mathis, Andrea Williams, Marie DeLoach, Helen King and Shannon Roberts.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Zoar United Methodist Church with Rev. Hillary Taylor and Rev. Dan Bradley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
Memorials may be made to Zoar United Methodist Church, c/o Janet Sample, 1237 Yarborough Rd., Saluda, SC 29138 or to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 404 Batesburg Hwy., Saluda, SC 29138.
