Johnston, SC

Lavinia Lee Yonce, 91, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at her residence.

Born in Anderson and a daughter of the late Robert E. and Cora Adams Lee, she was the wife of the late James Everette Yonce, Jr. Mrs. Yonce was a graduate of Anderson College and was retired from Riegel Textile in Johnston. She was a member of Johnston United Methodist Church. She loved her church and Sunday school. She was a prolific baker at holidays, enjoyed watching Clemson on TV and was a generous and loving grandmother.

Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia Ann McGee of Mt. Pleasant, two sons, James E. Yonce, III of N. Charleston and Walter S, Yonce of Johnston, a sister, Bobbie Lee Carr of Sarasota, FL, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice Care of South Carolina for all their care.

A private service was held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Mt. of Olives Cemetery with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating.
