Goose Creek, SC
Leroy Gregory, Sr., 90 of Goose Creek and Saluda, SC passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 at his home.
Born in Saluda County and a son of the late James O . and Eva Attaway Gregory. Mr. Gregory received an Honorable discharge from the Army in 1943 and retired from Texaco in 1990 after 39 years of service.
He is survived by three sons, Leroy (Sonya) Gregory, Jr. of Saluda, Bobby (Donna) Gregory of Cottageville, SC, Donnie (Lucretia) Gregory of Goose Creek, a daughter, Sherry (Carl) Campbell of Goose Creek, three brothers, Wiley and Jessie Gregory of Saluda, Jack Gregory of Modock, a sister, Shirley Witt of Chappells. ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren,
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Margaret Watkins Gregory, a son, James Franklin Gregory, a grandson, Warren Lee Pirt and a sister, Salley Steel.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 13, 2017 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Ramey Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Shiloh United Methodist Church with a viewing at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery following the service. The pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
