Lessie Quarles
Lessie Ruth Salter Quarles, 93, died Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Saluda Nursing Center.
Born in Aiken County and a daughter of the late Ellis Salter and Rilla Wroe Salter, she was the wife of the late Robert Clinton Quarles. Mrs. Quarles was a homemaker and was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Darrell Quarles (Karen) of Saluda, two daughters, Patricia Morgan (David) of Huntsville, AL and Sherry Coleman of Saluda, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a nephew, David Mote of Saluda.
Mrs. Quarles was preceded in death by her siblings, Ruby Mote, Mary Lee Salter and Frontis Salter.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Ralph Riley and the staff of Saluda Nursing Center for all their care and affection.
A graveside service will be held 3 p.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Rocky Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jason Martin officiating. Due to Covid-19 please practice social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 632 Rocky Creek Rd., Johnston, SC 29832, Saluda Nursing Center, P.O. Box 398, Saluda, SC 29138 or to the charity of one's choice.
