Loretta Lawson Day, 93, died peacefully in her sleep Monday, January 28, 2019 at J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home.
Born in Caryville, TN and a daughter of the late Mike Lawson and Mossie Commer Lawson, she was the wife of the late Seyborn U. Day. Mrs. Day lived in Kenosha for 40 years and was a consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Debra Charlton (David) of Saluda, a brother, Ben Lawson (Connie) of Evansville, IN and Horace D. Lawson (Lois) of Kenosha, WI, a sister, Lorene Lawrence (James) of Kenosha, WI, three grandchildren, Kelly Charlton, Jennifer Charlton and Melissa Charlton and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Day was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Day, three sisters, Mossie Patty, Birdie Leach and Evelyn Janishanis and a brother, Ray Lawson.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Jerrod Marshall officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
