Louise Blackwell

Annie Louise Powell Blackwell, 90, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at Saluda Nursing Center.

Born in Saluda, she was the daughter of the late John Singleton and Annie Mae Norris Powell, and widow of James Allen Blackwell. She was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church, and was self employed as a bookkeeper. She was also the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl Bledsoe (Danny) and Jane Stiles (Special friend, William "Bill" Jones), both of Saluda, two grandchildren, James Lee Shorter (English Kerby) and Heather Christine Dominick, both of Saluda, three great-grandchildren, Layla Usry, Kaisley Usry and Hadley Raye Shorter, and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Blackwell is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Casey Roxanne Dominick.

A funeral service will be held 4 PM, Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Rocky Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Martin and Regina Sanders officiating with interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
