Lucendia Temples Hurt,89, died Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at Saluda Nursing Center.

Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Curtis and Sallie Cockrell Temples, she was the wife of the late Edison Hurt. Mrs. Hurt was a homemaker and a member of Sardis Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Shirley H. Corley (Henry) of Saluda, a son, Eddie L. Hurt of Saluda, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Travis Park Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
