Lucy Mae Martin
Lucy Mae Duffie Martin, 94, died Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Saluda Nursing Center.
Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Isaiah Coy and Cora Estelle Nichols Duffie, she was the wife of the late William Franklin Martin. Mrs. Martin was retired from Liberty National Life Insurance Company and was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. She was a member of the Fidelis / Tel Sunday School class, the WMU and a member of the 1939 National Beta Club.
Surviving are a son, Franklin "Bo" Martin (Nancy) of Lexington, three daughters, Estelle Sullivan (Larry) of Frost Proof, FL, Patricia Harmon (Cally) of Saluda and Amy Hart (Sam) of Winter Haven, FL, a daughter in-law, Karen Martin of Babson Park, FL, fifteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Martin, a brother, Charlie H. Duffie and Three sisters, Eoline Buffington, Frances Felkel and Maud Lee Green.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Red Bank Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jason Martin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
