Margaret Matilda Cromer Clary, 95, died Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Hospice Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood.

Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late James Luther Cromer, Sr. and Elliott Ellen "Ellie" Rodgers Cromer, she was the wife of the late William Owens "Work" Clary. Mrs. Clary was a homemaker and was a member of Gassaway United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Phillip Clary (Lena) and David Clary (Elaine) both of Saluda, two brothers, Robert Cromer and Davis Cromer both of Ward, a sister, Fannie Mae Hall of Batesburg, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Clary was preceded in death by a son, Paul Clary, two brothers, James Luther Cromer, Jr. and Zonnie Andrew Cromer and three sisters, Tincy Cromer, Myrtle Rhodes and Christine Berry.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy Beauford officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
