Martha Jean Carter Rodgers, 81, died Friday, February 22, 2019 at her residence.

Born in Marshall County, AL and a daughter of the late Russell Odell Carter and Reatha May Bonds Carter, she was the wife of the late James Thomas "J.T." Rodgers. Mrs. Rodgers was a homemaker.

Surviving are five sons, Johnny Rodgers of Batesburg, Jimmy Rodgers of Saluda, Tommy Rodgers of Ninety Six, James Rodgers of Saluda and Jason Rodgers of Ward, three daughters, Barbara Jean Davis and Dianne Moore both of Saluda and Karen Rodgers of Ward, three sisters, Judy Rice and Ellen Hogan both of Cullman, AL and Linda Hitt of Arab, AL, fifteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Sunday evening at Ramey Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, February 25, 2019 at Ramey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Zach Metts officiating. Interment will follow in Saluda Memorial Gardens.
