Michael Timothy "Tim" Powell, 51, died Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

A native of Saluda County and a son of Jolene Steele Wilkie and the late Michael McArthur Powell, he was the husband of Jerrileen Elizabeth Rushton Powell. Mr. Powell was a partner with L & P Logging and enjoyed camping and crappie fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Jerrileen Elizabeth Rushton Powell, his mother and stepfather, Jolene Steele Wilkie and Marshall Wilkie of Cross Hill, a son, Joshua Timothy "Josh" Powell (Hollie) of Saluda, a stepson, Travis Rushton of Travelers Rest, SC, a brother, Bennie Leopard (Julie) of Saluda, three grandchildren, Berkleigh Kameron Kelly, Joslie Jolene Powell and Trevor Issac Allison, two uncles, Woodrow Powell, Jr. (Deronda) and Steve Powell (Shirley) both of W. Columbia, an aunt, Rebecca Powell of Greenwood and two nephews, Dustin Leopard and Weslee Leopard.

Mr. Powell was preceded in death by an uncle, Nathan Powell.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday evening at Ramey Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Ramey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Louie Murray officiating. Interment will follow in West Travis Park Cemetery.
