Monte Bledsoe

Monte Thomas Bledsoe, 79, passed away, Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at his home.

Born in Saluda County, a son of the late Joseph Thomas Bledsoe and Eva Jewell Rodgers, he was the husband of the late Maxine Perry Bledsoe. Mr. Bledsoe served in the United States Army and was retired from Greenwood Mills. After retirement he started cattle farming and loved it. He was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are a special companion, Donna Hardy of the home, two sisters, Ruby Keisler of Gilbert and Gloria Whitehead of West Columbia, and various nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bledsoe is preceded in death by a son, Michael Scott Bledsoe, and two sisters, Willie Duval and Jewell Stewart.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Rocky Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jason Martin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
