Nancy Crawford

Nancy Leona Floyd Crawford, 70, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood.

Born in Conway, SC, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Henry Floyd and Nancy Jane Sherill Floyd, and was the wife of Robert Blane Crawford. She was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God in Williston, FL. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to educating and inspiring others, serving as a teacher for 37 years. Mrs. Nancy’s teaching career took her from the Lowcountry of South Carolina to Melbourne, Florida, and eventually to Williston, where she taught at Williston Central Christian Academy (WCCA). Her passion for education and commitment to her students left a lasting impression on the many lives she touched throughout her career. She furthered her education by earning a master’s degree in education, demonstrating her dedication to lifelong learning and her profession.

On September 12, 2009, she married her beloved husband, beginning a special chapter of love and companionship. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Nancy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially getting lost in a good book and staying comfortable in the air conditioning. These little things brought her happiness and were a reflection of the personality her loved ones will always remember.

Surviving alongside her husband of 17 years are five children, Robert Fowler, III, John David Fowler, both of Florida; Catherine Carlie Crawford Lexington; Sara Ellyn Basknight of Nebo, NC; and Joshua Blane Crawford of Lexington; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Nancy was preceded in death by a brother, John Talmedge Floyd.
