Oliver Rollins
Oliver Carlton Rollins, 76, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Self Regional Healthcare.
Born in Saluda County and a son of the late Charles Rex Rollins and Grace Elizabeth Berry Rollins, he was the husband of the late Glenda Griffin Rollins. Mr. Rollins served in the United States Army and was retired from AT&T. He was a member of Bethany Methodist Church.
Mr. Rollins was known as "Big O' for his tall stature, possessing a calm and sincere nature. A lover of classic country music, he could often be found listening to his favorite tunes. He also had a deep appreciation for old western films and enjoyed a good movie. An avid outdoorsman, he cherished hunting and fishing. At home he took great pride in maintaining a beautiful lawn and garden.
Throughout his life, Mr. Rollins exemplified dedication and integrity. He was known for his unwavering work ethic and honesty, qualities that earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him. Mr. Rollins was deeply committed to his family and friends, always putting their need above his own.
A tender-hearted and compassionate individual Mr. Rollins had a remarkable ability to empathize with others, offering support and kindness in times of need. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather.

Of Saluda and Brian Rollins of Prosperity, a brother, Charles Rollins (Paulette) of Saluda, six grandchildren, Allison Robertson (Andrew Rodgers), Justin Rollins, Ansley Lewis (Chace), Kailey Rollins, Emily Grace Rollins and Natalie Rollins, two great-grandchildren, Eleanor Rodgers and Emberly Rollins and two additional great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Bethany Methodist Church with Rev. Mark English officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church social hall.
