Otto Duffie's Obituary
Otto Duffie, 96, died Friday, August 19, 2016 at Saluda Nursing Center.
Born in Saluda County and a son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Ida Delilah Salters Duffie, he was the husband of Bertha "Jeff" Hendrix Duffie. Mr. Duffie was a US Army veteran of World War II having served in the Pacific Theater. He was retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife of 75 years, Bertha "Jeff" Hendrix Duffie, a daughter, Juanita Caughman (Grady Roger) of N. Augusta, a son, Tony E. Duffie of Batesburg, four grandchildren, Derek Caughman (Dana), Brian Caughman, Greg Duffie (Rachel) and Jarett Duffie and three great-grandchildren, Troy-Anthony, Angelina and Scarlett.
Mr. Duffie was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Anthony Duffie and Toni Ellen Duffie.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Sunday evening at Ramey Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, August 22, 2016 at Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Hartley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Sardis Baptist Church, 218 Sardis Rd., Saluda, SC 29138.
