Raiford F. Kirkland's Obituary
Leesville, SC: Raiford F. Kirkland, 68, died Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
A native of Saluda County and a son of the late Robert Lee and Lucille Bartley Kirkland, he was the husband of Mary Helen Rodgers Kirkland. Mr. Kirkland was a retired lineman with Sumter Builders. His hobby was Civil War Reenactment and he was a wonderful husband, father, father in-law, grandfather, brother and friend.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Helen Rodgers Kirkland, a son, Mark Kirkland (Amy) of Chapin, a sister, Margaret Banks of Ward and two grandchildren, Chloe Kirkland and Ellie Kirkland.
Mr. Kirkland was preceded in death by two brother, Raymond Kirkland and James Kirkland.
A graveside service will be held 5 PM Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Red Bank Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Larry Smith officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Memorials may be made to Amick Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2090 Batesburg Hwy., Batesburg, SC 29006.
