R. A. "Ray" Taylor, 101, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at his residence.

Born in Franklin County, GA, and a son of the late Mahlon Luther and Martha South Taylor, he was the husband of Florine Kirkham Taylor. Mr. Taylor was retired from Norris Manufacturing and a retired realtor.

Surviving are his wife of 78 years, Florine Kirkham Taylor, two daughters, Gerri Taylor Merck (Jim) of Chapin and Linda Taylor Amick of Batesburg, two sons, Jack Taylor (Patti) of Corsicana, TX and Jim Taylor (Louann) of Woodstock, GA, twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Taylor was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Travis Park Cemetery, 300 Travis Avenue, Saluda, SC 29138.
