Raymond Carl Storey, 97, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Saluda Nursing Center.

Born in Saluda County and a son of the late Emmanuel Storey and Lou Gregory Storey, he was the husband of the late Frances Earline Cockrell Storey. Mr. Storey was a skilled carpet installer and spent many years serving his community through his business, Storey's Installation Services, which he owned and operated.

In his younger days, Mr. Storey found joy in the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish, and some of his happiest memories were made when he brought his children along on those adventures.

As life moved forward, he discovered a deep love for gardening, spending hours tending to the soil and watching things grow. Whether Mr. Storey was working in the yard, nurturing plants, or simply puttering around outside, he found peace and purpose in those quiet moments.

Surviving are a son, Michael D. Storey of Ridge Spring, SC, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great grandsons.

Mr. Storey was the last surviving member of his immediate family and was preceded in death by a son, Raymond E. Storey, a daughter, Carolyn Storey, and thirteen siblings, Lillia Mae Storey, James Ira Storey, Connie Storey, Nora Bell Storey, Marvin Buster Storey, Erline Storey, Sam Storey, St. Pere Storey, Callie Storey, Alma Storey, William Curtis Storey, Paul LaBoyd Storey, and Lester R. Storey.

A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m., Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Ridge Spring Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Campbell officiating.
