Richard Von Crawford

Richard Von Crawford, 66, died Friday, July 26, 2024 at his home .

Born in Newberry County and a son of Zell Rankin Crawford McCarty and the late Jesse Herman Crawford, he was the husband of Tangy Annette Litton Crawford. Mr. Crawford was self-employed and was a member of Zoar Methodist Church. He enjoyed farming, gardening and music. Von was known to grow plants, which he had available for sale in his greenhouse.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are his mother, two sons, Nicholas Richard Crawford (Tammy) of Columbia and Jesse Von Crawford (Sadie) of Saluda, three stepchildren, Shasta Freeman (Robin) of Saluda, Robbie Litton (Diane) of Greenwood and Jack Litton (Heather) of Saluda, five grandchildren, Owen Crawford, Aiden Crawford, Lessie Freeman, James Freeman and Lucas Litton and a granddaughter on the way, Savannah Crawford and two nephews, Brandon Crawford and Robbie Crawford both of Saluda.

Mr. Crawford was preceded in death by a brother, John Robert Crawford.

A private service will be held.
