Richard Ergle

Richard Wilson Ergle, 65, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood.

Born in Aiken County, he was a son of the late David Ergle and Ruby Cushman Ergle, raised by the late Cecil and Mamie Riddle, and husband to Janice Butler Ergle. Mr. Ergle was owner and operator of Ergle Tree and Construction. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Janice Butler Ergle, a son, Paul Ergle (Shona) of Saluda, a daughter Jeanette Wilder (Brent) of Batesburg, three grandchildren, McKinley Wilder, Star Ergle and Mayson Hall (DeVonte), four great-grandchildren, Ta'laysia Hall, TJ Hall, Zykarrian Hall and A'liyah Hall, and a sister, Becky Dubose of Monetta.

Mr. Ergle is preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Ergle and a sister, Debra Ergle.

A outdoor memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2021 at the home of Mr. Richard Ergle in the front yard with Rev. Terry Wilder, Rev. Mark Wilkes, Rev. Burton Campbell and Rev. Buddy Cockrell officiating. Due to COVID-19, the family asks those attending to practice social distancing and to wear masks.
